Elevate your salads with a vibrant and tangy homemade Greek dressing using common pantry staples.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced or grated
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, plus more to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon honey, optional
Instructions:
  • In a half-pint or larger screw-top jar, gracefully layer the garlic, olive oil, red wine vinegar, lemon juice, oregano, salt, red pepper flakes, Dijon mustard, and honey if preferred. Secure the lid firmly in place.
  • Vigorously shake the mixture for about 1 minute until the honey and mustard dissolve completely and the dressing turns into a creamy, uniform mixture.
  • Final touch: Adjust the seasoning of the dressing to your liking by adding more salt if necessary. Enjoy immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Remember to shake well before using to recombine any separated ingredients. If the olive oil solidifies in the fridge, simply allow it to come to room temperature or warm it in the microwave for 10 seconds until it returns to a liquid state.
