Greek-Inspired Turkey Burgers

Elevate burgers with zesty Mediterranean spices using lean turkey for a satisfying twist.
Ingredients:
  • Extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 1/2 lb lean ground turkey
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano leaves
  • 1 teaspoon kosher (coarse) salt
  • 1 teaspoon grill seasoning
  • 3 oz tomato-basil feta cheese
  • 5 onion rolls, split
  • Toppings such as sliced red onion, roasted red peppers and avocado slices, if desired
Instructions:
  • Heat a drizzle of oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat, or preheat a gas or charcoal grill.
  • Combine turkey, oregano, salt, grill seasoning, and cheese in a large bowl, being careful not to over mix. Form mixture into 5 patties, each about 1 inch thick.
  • Cook the patties in a skillet or on a grill over medium-high heat for 6 to 8 minutes on each side until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. Optionally, toast the rolls, then assemble the burgers by placing patties on the bottom half of each roll, adding toppings, and covering with the top half of the roll.
