Green Bean Cheddar Chicken

Cheddar cheese sauce envelops chicken, green beans, and bacon in a delicious, easy-to-prepare casserole.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 pound bacon
  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 20 ounces fresh green beans, washed and trimmed
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of Cheddar cheese soup
  • 1 pinch ground cayenne pepper
  • 0.5 cup seasoned dry bread crumbs
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
Instructions:
  • In a skillet, cook the bacon over medium-high heat until evenly browned. Drain, crumble, and set aside. In the same skillet, melt the butter and saute the chicken breasts for 10 to 12 minutes on each side until golden, fully cooked, and the juices run clear.
  • 1. In a saucepan, add the green beans and cover them with water. Bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 5 minutes.
  • Preheat the broiler in the oven while you lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Place the beans at the bottom of the baking dish. Layer with the chicken, evenly spread the soup on top. Sprinkle bread crumbs and bacon, then finish by adding Cheddar cheese.
  • Broil for 10 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
