Delicious green beans with flavorful tomatoes.
Ingredients:
  • 2 pounds green beans, trimmed
  • 0.5 cup olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons minced fresh garlic
  • 2 teaspoons white sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
  • 1.5 cups low-sodium beef broth
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can Italian-style diced tomatoes, drained
  • 2 tablespoons parsley flakes
Instructions:
  • Combine green beans, olive oil, garlic, sugar, and salt in a large skillet. Cover and cook over low heat for 15 minutes until the green beans are slightly tender.
  • Ladle the savory beef broth over the vibrant green beans and cook uncovered for an additional 5 minutes.
  • Turn up the heat to medium-high and mix in the tomatoes and parsley with the green beans. Cook until the beans are tender, about 5 more minutes.
