Delicate green tea cupcakes with green tea-infused frosting for a uniquely flavorful treat.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1.25 cups white sugar
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons green tea powder (matcha)
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Place paper liners in 12 muffin cups.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat unsalted butter with an electric mixer until soft and creamy. Gradually add sugar, about 1/3 cup at a time, beating until the mixture is fluffy.
  • Beat the eggs well, incorporating each one fully. Then, blend in the flour and green tea powder until fully mixed.
  • Fill the prepared muffin cups with batter, ensuring they are about 3/4 full.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a cupcake comes out with moist crumbs or clean.
  • Let cupcakes rest in muffin tins for 15 minutes before transferring to cool completely.
