Spicy lemon olive oil grilled broccoli rabe - perfect with sausages or steak.
Ingredients:
  • 1 bunch broccoli rabe, trimmed and rinsed
  • 0.25 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • salt to taste
Instructions:
  • 1. Boil a large pot of salted water and prepare an ice bath. 2. Blanch half of the broccoli rabe in the boiling water for 1 minute, then transfer to the ice bath. 3. Repeat the process with the rest of the broccoli rabe. 4. Drain the blanched broccoli rabe in a large colander.
  • Get your outdoor grill ready with a gentle heat setting and give the grate a light coating of oil.
  • Combine olive oil, lemon juice, crushed red pepper flakes, and salt in a small bowl. Coat drained broccoli rabe with the flavorful oil mixture before placing it on the hot grate.
  • Grill until thick stems have softened, turning occasionally for 8 to 10 minutes. Remove thinner leafy pieces promptly to avoid burning and transfer to a serving platter.
