Grilled cabbage with cream sauce

Succulent grilled cabbage pairs perfectly with roasted pork.
Ingredients:
  • olive oil cooking spray
  • 500g cabbage
  • 27.30 gm olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 62.50 gm dry white wine
  • 252.50 gm thickened cream
  • 23.40 gm wholegrain mustard
  • 40.00 ml finely chopped fresh chives
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
Instructions:
  • Prepare the barbecue plate or chargrill by spraying it with oil and heating it over medium-high heat. Brush each cabbage wedge with 1 teaspoon of olive oil and cook for 4 to 5 minutes on each side until they are lightly browned and tender.
  • In a saucepan over medium-high heat, warm the rest of the olive oil. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in wine, cream, and mustard, then bring to a boil. Lower the heat to medium-low and simmer uncovered for 3 to 5 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens. Remove from heat and stir in chives and onion. Serve the wedges with a drizzle of the cream sauce.
