Grilled shrimp with zesty garlic-lemon marinade featuring Italian herbs and smoky paprika.
Ingredients:
  • 2 teaspoons ground paprika
  • 2 tablespoons fresh minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning, or to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 0.25 cup olive oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
  • 2 pounds large shrimp (21-25 per pound), peeled and deveined
Instructions:
  • Combine paprika, garlic, Italian seasoning, lemon juice, olive oil, pepper, basil, and brown sugar in a bowl and whisk until well mixed.
  • Mix the shrimp into the marinade until evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, flipping once.
  • Preheat your outdoor grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grill grate, positioning it about 4 inches away from the heat source.
  • Take out shrimp from the marinade, allowing any extra liquid to drip off, and dispose of the marinade.
  • Grill shrimp until opaque in the center, about 5 to 6 minutes, turning once. Serve hot.
