Grilled Macadamia-Crusted Tuna with Papaya Salsa

Try this summer favorite: Grilled tuna with macadamia nuts for a delicious and nutritious meal.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups diced papaya
  • 0.5 red onion, diced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 0.25 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 0.25 teaspoon hot chile paste, or to taste
  • 4 (6 ounce) tuna steaks
  • 0.25 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 0.5 cup chopped macadamia nuts
Instructions:
  • In a bowl, mix papaya, onion, and red pepper. Add cilantro, lime juice, garlic, and hot chile paste. Toss well and refrigerate until serving.
  • Heat up your outdoor grill on high heat and lightly oil the grate.
  • Coat the tuna steaks in olive oil, season with salt and pepper. Beat the eggs until smooth in a shallow bowl. Dip the tuna steaks in the egg, let excess drip off, then coat with macadamia nuts.
  • Grill the tuna steaks to your liking on the preheated grill, cooking each side for approximately 2 minutes for a medium doneness. Enjoy with the flavorful papaya salsa.
