Grilled shrimp perfection: marinade with olive oil, lemon, garlic, parsley, and hot pepper sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 0.25 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 2 tablespoons hot pepper sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 pounds large shrimp, peeled and deveined with tails attached
  • 6 skewers
Instructions:
  • Combine olive oil, parsley, lemon juice, hot pepper sauce, garlic, tomato paste, oregano, salt, and black pepper in a bowl and whisk until well combined. Set aside a portion for basting. Transfer the rest to a resealable plastic bag, add shrimp, coat well, remove excess air, seal, and refrigerate for 2 hours.
  • Preheat the grill to a cozy medium-low heat. Skewer the shrimp by piercing once near the tail and once near the head. Don't forget to discard the marinade.
  • Prepare the grill grate by giving it a light coating of oil. Grill the shrimp until they turn opaque, approximately 5 minutes on each side, while regularly basting them with the saved marinade.
