Bacon-wrapped grilled meatloaf patties bring a fancy twist to a classic comfort food, no oven required.
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped (1/4 cup)
  • 3/4 cup Progresso™ plain bread crumbs
  • 1 1/2 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 6 slices crusty white bread, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat grill for indirect cooking according to manufacturer's instructions.
  • Combine 1/4 cup of ketchup with honey in a small bowl; set aside. In a large bowl, combine the remaining 1/4 cup of ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic salt, pepper, and egg. Mix in onion and bread crumbs, then fold in the beef until fully combined.
  • Form the beef mixture into 6 patties that are 3/4 inch thick and approximately 3 1/2 inches wide. Wrap each patty with a slice of bacon and secure it with a toothpick.
  • Generously coat grill rack with cooking spray. Arrange patties on the cooler side of a two-burner gas grill or above a drip pan on a charcoal grill at medium heat. (For a single-burner gas grill, cook over low heat.) Cover the grill and grill the patties for 20 to 25 minutes until they are slightly pink in the center. Flip the patties using a spatula and brush them with the ketchup mixture. Cover the grill and continue cooking for another 5 to 8 minutes until the meat thermometer reads 160°F and the bacon is crispy. Serve the patties on bread.
