Elevate your grilled steak with a flavorful sesame marinade featuring onions, garlic, and soy.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 0.5 cup sesame oil
  • 0.33333334326744 cup sesame seeds
  • 4 yellow onions, sliced
  • 0.5 cup soy sauce
  • 0.25 cup lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 0.25 teaspoon whole black peppercorns
  • 1 (2.5 pound) London broil steak
Instructions:
  • In a skillet, warm sesame oil over medium-high heat. Stir sesame seeds in the hot oil until they turn golden brown, which should take about 1 minute. Quickly transfer the toasted seeds and oil to a spacious glass or ceramic baking dish.
  • Mix onions, soy sauce, lemon juice, sugar, garlic, and peppercorns with sesame mixture until well combined. Add steak to marinade, ensuring all sides are coated. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, flipping steak occasionally.
  • Prepare the outdoor grill by preheating it to medium-high heat and lightly oiling the grate.
  • Grill the steak until it's firm, reddish-pink, and juicy in the center, about 10 minutes per side. The internal temperature should reach 130°F (54°C) for medium rare. Rest the steak covered with foil for 10 minutes, then slice against the grain.
