Spicy grilled Flank Steak marinated in fiery soy sauce and sesame - a delicious twist on Beef Bulgogi.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 5 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 0.25 cup sriracha sauce
  • 0.25 cup chopped green onion
  • 2.5 tablespoons white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons whole dried cayenne peppers
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper, or to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions:
  • Lay the flank steak slices in a shallow dish.
  • Combine soy sauce, sriracha, green onion, sugar, dried peppers, garlic, sesame seeds, sesame oil, cayenne, and black pepper in a bowl. Pour the marinade over the steak, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, ideally overnight.
  • Preheat your outdoor grill on high heat and lightly oil the grate for a perfect sear.
  • Take the steak slices out of the marinade and grill them on a preheated grill until they are lightly charred and cooked through, about 1 to 2 minutes per side.
  • Heat marinade in a wok or skillet over medium heat until thickened to a gravy-like consistency; then drizzle over grilled steak.
