Grilled Sesame Soy Shishito Peppers

Grilled shishito peppers with zesty ginger, garlic, sesame, and soy are the perfect summer side dish to complement your grilled salmon or steak.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 0.5 teaspoon finely grated ginger
  • 0.5 teaspoon grated garlic
  • 8 ounces shishito peppers, rinsed
Instructions:
  • In a large bowl, combine sesame oil, soy sauce, ginger, and garlic. Add shishito peppers and mix well to coat. Marinate for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Preheat an outdoor grill and grill pan for perfect char and flavor.
  • Take the peppers out of the marinade, allowing any extra marinade to drip off. Transfer the peppers to the heated grill pan and cook, stirring every 1 to 2 minutes, until they are evenly charred, which should take about 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Add the charred peppers back to the bowl of marinade and toss until well coated. Finish by sprinkling with salt before serving.
