Indulge in a romantic Valentine's Day dinner with juicy steak and zesty lemon pepper potatoes.
Ingredients:
  • 3 desiree potatoes (unpeeled), cut into 2cm pieces
  • 2 tsp lemon pepper seasoning
  • 36.40 gm olive oil
  • 4 (about 200g each) scotch fillet steaks
  • 21.00 gm lemon juice
  • 11.80 gm Dijon mustard
  • 125.00 ml flat-leaf parsley leaves
  • 1 butter lettuce, outer leaves removed, cut into thin wedges
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 200°C. Line a baking tray with baking paper. Coat potatoes with lemon pepper, 1 tablespoon of oil, and 1 teaspoon of salt. Spread them on the tray and roast for 20 minutes, or until they are tender.
  • Once the potatoes have been simmering for 10 minutes, preheat a large chargrill or frypan over high heat. Season the steaks and place them in the pan. Reduce the heat to medium-high and cook each side for 3 minutes for medium-rare or until desired doneness. Place the steaks on a plate to rest while preparing the salad.
  • Combine lemon juice, mustard, and remaining oil; mix vigorously. Add parsley and lettuce; toss gently. Serve steaks with potatoes and salad.
