Grilled lime-tequila garlic shrimp skewers seasoned with cumin and black pepper - a zesty flavor explosion!
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons tequila
  • 0.25 cup olive oil
  • 1 pinch garlic salt
  • 1 pinch ground cumin
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 6 (10 inch) wooden skewers
  • 1 large lime, quartered
Instructions:
  • Combine lime juice, tequila, olive oil, garlic salt, cumin, and black pepper in a bowl and mix until fully incorporated. Transfer the marinade to a large resealable plastic bag, add the shrimp, seal the bag, and distribute the marinade evenly. Chill in the refrigerator for 1 to 4 hours before grilling.
  • Soak skewers in water for a minimum of 30 minutes to avoid burning them.
  • Preheat your outdoor grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grill grate, positioning it about 4 inches from the heat source.
  • Discard the marinade from the shrimp and then skewer 5 to 6 shrimp on each prepared skewer.
  • Grill uncovered until shrimp are pink, turning once, for 5 to 7 minutes. Serve with lime wedges for garnish.
