Grilled Texas Turkey Burgers

Elevate burger night with zesty southwestern cheese and chili-topped burgers using only 5 ingredients.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound ground turkey or chicken
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 can (4 oz) Old El Paso™ Chopped Green Chiles, drained
  • 4 slices (1 ounce each) Monterey Jack cheese with jalapeño peppers
  • 4 hamburger buns, split
Instructions:
  • Preheat the grill for direct heat.
  • Combine the turkey, barbecue sauce, and chilies until well mixed. Form the mixture into 4 patties, each approximately 1 inch thick.
  • Grill turkey patties over medium coals, covered, for 14 to 16 minutes, turning once, until cooked through. Add cheese slices on top for the last minute of grilling until melted. Serve on buns.
