Grilled tuna with fresh mozzarella and tomato salad creates a delectable meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 lb tuna steaks
  • 1 teaspoon olive or vegetable oil
  • 1 small clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 3 large plum (Roma) tomatoes, sliced
  • 4 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinaigrette
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil leaves
Instructions:
  • Preheat gas or charcoal grill. Coat tuna steaks with oil and garlic, allowing them to marinate at room temperature for 15 minutes.
  • Place tomato and cheese slices elegantly on a large serving plate or platter. Drizzle with vinaigrette and sprinkle with basil. Set aside for serving.
  • Grill the tuna over medium heat with the lid on for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping once, until it flakes easily with a fork and is slightly pink in the center. Slice the tuna and arrange it on top of the tomatoes and cheese.
