Grilled tuna: Fresh, simple, and bursting with vibrant flavors of olive oil and lime.
Ingredients:
  • 4 (6 ounce) albacore tuna steaks, 1 inch thick
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 0.5 cup hickory wood chips, soaked
Instructions:
  • Combine the tuna steaks and olive oil in a large resealable plastic bag, seal tightly, and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • Preheat the grill to medium heat and once the coals are very hot, add a handful of hickory or mesquite wood chips for extra flavor.
  • Prepare the grill grate by lightly oiling it. Season the tuna with salt and pepper. Grill the tuna on the preheated grill for about 6 minutes, flipping it once. Place the cooked tuna on a serving platter and generously drizzle it with freshly squeezed lime juice. Serve right away.
