Guava-filled Cuban pastry with just 4 ingredients.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (17.5 ounce) package frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 (8 ounce) jar guava paste
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • sugar (optional)
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Slice the guava paste into 18 thin pieces.
  • Cut puff pastry into 18 squares. Add a thin slice of guava paste onto each square, fold it over to form a triangle, and press edges with a fork to seal. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar, if desired.
  • Bake in the oven until beautifully puffed and golden, about 20-25 minutes.
