Pan-seared halibut cheeks with zesty orange Asian sauce, served with asparagus and jasmine rice for a fresh spring meal.
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup fresh orange juice
  • 2 teaspoons minced fresh cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger root
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 0.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 (3 ounce) halibut cheeks
Instructions:
  • Combine zesty orange juice, aromatic cilantro, spicy ginger, flavorful garlic, savory soy sauce, rich sesame oil, and a hint of red pepper flakes in a small bowl; let the flavors meld together while you prepare the rest of the dish.
  • - Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear halibut cheeks until golden brown on both sides, about 2 to 3 minutes per side. - Add the orange juice mixture to the skillet and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and simmer until the halibut flakes easily with a fork and the sauce thickens slightly. - Transfer the halibut cheeks to a plate and drizzle with the orange sauce before serving.
