Spooky pumpkin pancakes made easy with Bisquick and canned pumpkin, a must-try for your little monsters!
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Gold Medal™ unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup water
  • Black food color
  • 2 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup canned pumpkin (not pumpkin pie mix)
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • Red and yellow (or orange) food color
Instructions:
  • In a small saucepan, bring the Syrup ingredients to a boil, stirring continuously. Gradually add black food coloring until the mixture turns black. Keep stirring as it boils for a few more minutes until it thickens. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Combine Pancake ingredients in a large bowl until fully mixed. Spoon batter onto a hot greased griddle and cook until golden, 2 to 3 minutes per side.
  • Plate the dish elegantly, drizzle with syrup, and enjoy while warm.
