"Spooky Spider pops: Red velvet cake mixed with coconut, pretzels, and chocolate for a perfect Halloween treat that will delight kids."
Ingredients:
  • 500g ready-made red velvet cake with icing
  • 13.60 gm desiccated coconut
  • 40.00 ml chocolate sprinkles
  • 200g packet pretzels
  • 62.70 gm dark chocolate melts
  • 44 candy eyeballs
Instructions:
  • Crumble cake, with icing, until fine. Prepare a large baking tray with baking paper. Fill a shallow dish with coconut and another with chocolate sprinkles. Using 1 level tablespoon of crumb mixture each time, shape into balls with damp hands. Coat half the balls in coconut and the other half in chocolate sprinkles. Arrange on the tray.
  • Trim the rounded edges off each of the 3 pretzels and discard the center pieces.
  • Place the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH (100%), stirring halfway through with a metal spoon, until melted and smooth, about 1 minute. Dip one end of a pretzel piece into the chocolate and press it onto the side of a ball to create a leg. Follow the picture guide and repeat with the remaining pretzel pieces to form all 8 legs. Do the same with the remaining balls and pretzel pieces. Refrigerate for 10 minutes until the chocolate sets.
  • Attach 2 candy eyeballs to the front of each ball using melted chocolate. Hold until secure. Dip 1cm of one end of each lollipop stick into the remaining melted chocolate. Insert 1 lollipop stick into the top of each spider. Refrigerate for 10 minutes or until set. Serve.
