Create a delicious quiche using premade pastry, ham, eggs, cream, and cheese.
Ingredients:
  • 1 sheet frozen ready-rolled shortcrust pastry, partially thawed
  • 200g sliced leg ham, chopped
  • 40.00 ml finely-chopped fresh chives
  • 126.25 gm pure cream
  • 62.50 ml grated mozzarella cheese
  • 6 eggs (see tip)
  • 62.50 ml grated parmesan cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C. Lightly grease a 23cm loose-based fluted flan pan. Roll out pastry into a 26cm square on a flat surface. Line the pan with pastry, trim excess, and place it on a baking tray. Fill the pastry with baking paper and ceramic pie weights (or uncooked rice). Bake for 10 minutes, then remove the weights and paper. Bake for another 7 minutes until the base is light golden. Let it cool for 5 minutes before using.
  • Combine ham, chives, cream, mozzarella, and 3 eggs in a small bowl. Season with pepper. Spoon mixture into pastry case, crack remaining eggs over the ham mixture, keeping yolks whole. Sprinkle with Parmesan. Bake for 20 minutes until eggs are set. Serve.
