Delicious Hawaiian-inspired burger featuring savory ham and sweet pineapple - great for any meal of the day!
Ingredients:
  • 18.20 gm pure olive oil
  • 1 red onion, thickly sliced
  • 8 slices ham
  • 4 pineapple rings
  • 61.88 gm whole-egg mayonnaise
  • 40.00 ml finely chopped chives
  • 4 hamburger rolls, split, lightly toasted
  • 50g baby spinach leaves
  • Tomato sauce, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a large frying pan over medium heat, heat oil. Cook onion slices for 2 minutes on each side, or until soft and lightly golden. Remove from pan. Increase heat to high, cook ham for 3-4 minutes, turning regularly until lightly browned. Add pineapple rings and cook for 1 minute on each side until lightly golden.
  • Next, mix together mayonnaise and chives in a small bowl. Spread a dollop onto the bottom halves of the rolls. Layer on baby spinach, ham, pineapple, and onion. Add the tops of the rolls and serve with tomato sauce.
