Popular party favorite recipe featuring Spam, loved even by Spam skeptics. Easy to make and sure to impress guests. Exclusively shared for all to enjoy!
Ingredients:
  • 1 (12 ounce) container fully cooked luncheon meat (e.g. Spam), chopped
  • 1 (8 ounce) can water chestnuts, drained and chopped
  • 3 tablespoons green onions, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 3 hard-cooked eggs, peeled and chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon pepper
  • 1.5 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 (14 ounce) package square wonton wrappers
  • 1 quart vegetable oil for frying
Instructions:
  • Combine lunchmeat, water chestnuts, green onions, parsley, hard-cooked eggs, pepper, and oyster sauce in a medium bowl. Let flavors meld.
  • Place 4 to 6 wonton skins on a clean surface. Spoon a tablespoon of the meat mixture onto the center of each skin. Dip fingers in a bowl of water nearby and moisten the corners of each wrapper. Pinch all corners together to seal the filling, adding more water if needed. Cover filled wontons with plastic wrap to prevent drying.
  • In a deep heavy skillet over medium-high heat, heat 1 inch of oil, or heat the recommended amount in a deep-fryer to 365°F (185°C). Fry wontons until golden brown on both sides for a few minutes. Drain on paper towels. Serve and enjoy!
