Kid-friendly Hawaiian pizza twists perfect for lunchboxes.
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 x 440g can crushed pineapple, drained well
  • 225.00 gm self-raising flour
  • 1 tsp mixed herbs
  • 50g butter, chopped
  • 128.75 gm milk
  • 22.20 gm no-added-salt tomato paste
  • 70g sliced leg ham
  • 125.00 ml pizza cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 200C/180C fan-forced. Line a large baking tray with parchment paper. Place the pineapple on a paper towel-lined plate and gently pat dry.
  • In a large bowl, combine sifted flour and dried herbs. Add butter and use your fingertips to blend it into the flour until it resembles coarse breadcrumbs. Create a well in the center, pour in the milk, and mix with a butter knife until a dough forms. Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 1 minute until smooth.
  • Roll out half of the dough into a 15cm x 20cm rectangle. Leave a 1cm border, then spread tomato paste. Add ham, pineapple, and pizza cheese on top. Roll out the remaining dough to the same size, place it on top of the cheese, press gently to compact, and seal edges by pinching. Cut into six 15cm-long strips, twist each strip for a spiral effect, and place on a tray 3cm apart.
  • Bake for 13 to 15 minutes or until golden. Let cool on the tray for 2 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to enjoy.
