Hazelnut macaroons topped with melted chocolate.
Ingredients:
  • 200.00 gm hazelnut meal (ground hazelnuts)
  • 215.00 gm caster sugar
  • 2 eggwhites
  • 4.40 gm vanilla essence
  • 100g dark chocolate, melted
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180°C and prepare 2 baking trays by lining them with baking paper.
  • Combine hazelnut meal, sugar, egg whites, and vanilla in a food processor. Process until mixture forms a thick paste, about 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Roll the mixture into tablespoon-sized balls and place on trays. Flatten each macaroon slightly using a spatula. Bake for 15 minutes until light golden. Cool on trays for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Transfer the melted chocolate into a snaplock bag, then cut off a corner and drizzle the chocolate over the macaroons. Let them set before serving.
