Indulgent mocha brownies topped with luscious hazelnut spread - a coffee and chocolate lover's dream.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Fudge Brownie Mix
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons instant espresso coffee powder or granules
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup chopped hazelnuts (filberts)
  • 1/2 cup hazelnut spread with cocoa
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons milk
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F and grease the bottom of a 13x9-inch pan with shortening or cooking spray. In a medium bowl, combine brownie mix, water, oil, espresso powder, and eggs until well blended. Mix in hazelnuts, spread the batter in the pan, and bake for 24 to 26 minutes or until a toothpick inserted 2 inches from the side comes out clean or almost clean. Allow to cool completely for about 40 minutes before serving.
  • In a medium bowl, blend powdered sugar, hazelnut spread, butter, and 1 tablespoon milk with an electric mixer until smooth. Add more milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, until you reach your preferred spreading consistency. Frost the cooled brownies and allow the frosting to set for about 15 minutes. Cut into 6 rows by 4 rows and enjoy!
