Indulge guilt-free with our healthier chocolate puffed rice cereal for breakfast.
Ingredients:
  • 120g (6 cups) puffed brown rice
  • 60g (1/4 cup) solidified coconut oil
  • 54.00 gm maple syrup
  • 40.00 ml organic cacao powder or cocoa powder
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 150C/130C fan forced and prepare 2 large baking trays by lining them with baking paper.
  • In a large bowl, mix puffed rice. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine oil, maple syrup, and cacao or cocoa. Microwave on Medium for 15 seconds until coconut oil melts. Stir until smooth, then pour over rice. Mix it all together by hand until evenly coated.
  • Spread the rice mixture evenly on the trays. Bake for 3 minutes, stir, then bake for another 3 minutes after swapping the trays for even cooking. Let cool completely on trays before storing in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
