Heavenly Raspberry Dessert

Delicious trifle dessert with angel food cake and raspberry cream layers.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (9 inch) angel food cake
  • 2 (3 ounce) packages raspberry-flavored gelatin mix (such as Jell-O®)
  • 1.25 cups boiling water
  • 1 (15 ounce) package frozen raspberries in syrup, thawed and undrained
  • 1 pint heavy whipping cream
Instructions:
  • Prepare a 9-inch tube pan by greasing it with butter. Then, break the angel food cake into chunks and set them aside.
  • Combine raspberry gelatin and boiling water in a bowl, stirring until gelatin is fully dissolved. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for approximately 10 minutes. Gently fold in raspberries with syrup.
  • Whip cream in a chilled glass or metal bowl using an electric mixer until soft peaks form, then gently fold the whipped cream into the raspberry mixture.
  • Spread a layer of 1/4 cup raspberry mixture in the prepared pan. Add 1/3 of the cake chunks into the pan and pour 1/3 of the raspberry mixture over the cake. Repeat layering with the rest of the ingredients, finishing with the raspberry mixture on top. Refrigerate until firm for about 2 hours.
  • Invert the tube pan onto a serving plate to remove the cake.
