Elevate your steak with garlic and a medley of fresh herbs in this flavorful herb butter. Customize with your favorite herbs.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened, divided
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh sage
  • 2 teaspoons minced fresh rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 0.25 teaspoon sea salt, or to taste
  • aluminum foil or parchment paper
Instructions:
  • Take 7 tablespoons of softened, unsalted butter and place it into a small mixing bowl.
  • Melt the last tablespoon of unsalted butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook, stirring constantly, until fragrant for 1 to 2 minutes. Mix the cooked garlic into the softened butter.
  • Using a rubber spatula, blend the minced fresh herbs into the garlic-butter mixture by stirring and pressing until well combined. Season with sea salt to your liking. Cover and refrigerate until slightly firm, approximately 20 minutes.
  • Transfer the mixture onto a 9x12-inch sheet of aluminum foil or parchment paper.
  • Shape the mixture into a 6-inch long and 1-inch thick log. Wrap the herb butter in foil or parchment paper, twisting the ends and securing with a twist tie or rubber band.
  • Chill in the refrigerator until firm, approximately 40 minutes.
  • Cut into 8 even pieces and use as a topping for steak or other dishes. Store any extras in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
