Elevate your cheese platter with a simple and delicious herbed cream cheese log. Perfect for entertaining!
Ingredients:
  • 250g cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tsp port
  • 40.00 ml finely chopped toasted pecans
  • 20.00 ml finely chopped fresh chives
  • 20.00 ml finely chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley leaves
  • 1 tsp finely chopped fresh thyme leaves
Instructions:
  • With an electric mixer, whip cream cheese until smooth and fluffy for 3 to 4 minutes. Next, incorporate port and garlic, then season generously with salt and pepper. Whip until fully combined.
  • Place the mixture onto a 25cm-long piece of baking paper and shape it into a 15cm-long log. Roll up the log from one side using the paper as a guide, twist the ends of the paper (the mixture will be soft). Chill in the refrigerator for 15 minutes to slightly firm up.
  • Mix pecans, chives, parsley, and thyme in a bowl. Spread the mixture evenly on a plate. Unwrap the log from the paper and roll it in the herb mixture, making sure to coat the ends. Chill in the refrigerator until ready to use.
  • Take the log out of the fridge and let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
