Indulgent and effortless casserole.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box (4.7 oz) Betty Crocker™ au gratin potatoes
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 package (5.2-oz size) soft cheese with garlic and herbs
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2/3 cup Progresso™ plain panko crispy bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F and coat a 1 1/2-quart glass baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Prepare the potatoes following the stove-top instructions on the box, keeping the butter aside for later. Mix in the cheese until fully incorporated, then transfer the mixture to a baking dish.
  • In a 10-inch skillet, gently melt butter over medium-low heat. Toast bread crumbs in the fragrant butter for about 5 minutes, or until they turn a lovely light golden brown. Sprinkle the crunchy mixture over the potatoes to add a delicious finishing touch.
  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the sauce bubbles. Sprinkle with fresh chives and allow it to stand for 5 minutes before serving to let the sauce thicken.
