Enjoy flavorful low-fat fish burgers with spicy mayo, crispy oven-baked chips, and lemon wedges for a satisfying mid-week meal.
Ingredients:
  • 500g firm white fish fillets, coarsely chopped
  • 20.00 ml finely grated lemon rind
  • 21.00 gm fresh lemon juice
  • 2.00 garlic clove, crushed
  • 40.00 ml finely chopped fresh chives
  • 40.00 ml finely chopped fresh continental parsley
  • 20.00 ml finely chopped fresh dill
  • Salt & freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 loaf (about 40cm long) Turkish bread, cut crossways into 4 equal portions, split
  • 1 baby cos lettuce
  • 1 small red onion, halved, thinly sliced
  • 80g (1/3 cup) reduced-fat mayonnaise
  • 1 small fresh red chilli, deseeded, finely chopped
  • 5.30 gm soy sauce
Instructions:
  • Combine fish, lemon zest, lemon juice, garlic, chives, parsley, and dill in a food processor until mixed. Season with salt and pepper. Divide mixture into 4 portions and form into 10cm patties. Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes covered with plastic wrap.
  • Mix together the mayonnaise, chili, garlic, and soy sauce in a small bowl to create the soy & chili mayonnaise.
  • Preheat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Cook the fish patties for 5 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  • On individual plates, layer each piece of bread cut-side up. Spread a dollop of mayonnaise on each slice. Top with lettuce, fish patties, onion, and the remaining bread. Serve promptly.
