Elevate Brussels sprout salad with sauteed smoked sausage, walnuts, cranberries, and cider vinaigrette.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (14 ounce) package Hillshire Farm® Smoked Sausage, bias-sliced 1/2-inch thick
  • 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon minced shallot
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1.5 teaspoons Dijon-style mustard
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 0.33333334326744 cup olive oil
  • 1.5 pounds Brussels sprouts, thinly sliced
  • 0.5 medium red onion, thinly sliced
  • 0.5 cup toasted walnuts, coarsely chopped
  • 0.5 cup dried cranberries
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet, sauté the sausage slices over medium heat for about 5 minutes until nicely browned. Allow them to cool slightly before proceeding.
  • Prepare the vinaigrette by mixing cider vinegar, shallot, honey, mustard, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Gradually whisk in the olive oil until well blended.
  • Combine the cooked sausage, Brussels sprouts, red onion, walnuts, and dried cranberries in a large bowl. Drizzle with vinaigrette, then gently toss to mix everything together.
  • Enjoy right away or refrigerate for up to 4 hours before serving.
