Festive eggnog cookies with creamy glaze and candy sprinkles - a must-have treat for your holiday spread!
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 0.66666668653488 cup eggnog
  • 0.5 teaspoon brandy flavoring
  • 2 dashes all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 0.75 cup powdered sugar, or more to taste
  • 5 teaspoons eggnog, or more to taste
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, softened
  • 0.125 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons multi-colored sprinkles, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) for perfect baking results.
  • In a spacious bowl, combine butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until creamy. Incorporate egg and mix thoroughly. Stir in eggnog and brandy flavoring until the mixture is smooth.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, nutmeg, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the eggnog, stirring well after each addition until fully combined.
  • Spoon dough onto ungreased cookie sheets, leaving 2 inches of space between each spoonful.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until the edges are lightly golden, for 10-12 minutes. Allow the cookies to rest on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool for approximately 30 minutes.
  • Whisk together 3/4 cup powdered sugar, 5 teaspoons eggnog, butter, and nutmeg in a small bowl until the icing is thick and just pourable. Adjust consistency with more powdered sugar or eggnog as needed.
  • Drizzle the icing generously over the cooled cookies and top with festive candy sprinkles.
