Create festive brownie bites with easy decorating.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Delights Supreme Original Brownie Mix
  • Water, vegetable oil and egg called for on brownie mix box
  • Miniature candy canes (2 inch), unwrapped
  • 1 or 2 drops green food color
  • 1/3 cup from 1 tub (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Vanilla Frosting (from 16-oz container)
  • Betty Crocker™ Decorating Decors red and green candy sprinkles or miniature candy-coated chocolate baking bits
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pan). Line a 9-inch square pan with foil, leaving some overhang. Grease foil with shortening or cooking spray. Prepare brownie mix batter according to package instructions and spread evenly in the pan.
  • Bake for 28 to 31 minutes until a toothpick inserted 2 inches from the side of the pan comes out almost clean. Let it cool completely on a cooling rack for about 1 1/2 hours. Freeze in the pan for 15 minutes. Lift the brownies using the foil, remove from the pan, and peel away the foil. Cut the brownie into triangles by first cutting into 3 rows, then each row into 5 triangles. Save any leftover pieces for snacking.
  • Remove the curved end of the candy cane and insert the straight piece into the bottom of the triangles to create tree trunks.
  • Mix food color into frosting. Transfer frosting into a small resealable food-storage plastic bag, leave the bag partially open. Cut a small hole at the bottom corner of the bag. Squeeze the bag to drizzle frosting over brownies and add decorative sprinkles.
