Indulge in velvety homemade banana pudding, stacked with vanilla wafers and fresh bananas, for a luscious treat.
Ingredients:
  • 0.66666668653488 cup white sugar
  • 0.33333334326744 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 bananas, peeled and sliced
  • 0.5 (12 ounce) package vanilla wafer cookies
Instructions:
  • In a medium saucepan, mix sugar, flour, and salt. Add eggs and stir vigorously. Pour in milk and simmer on low heat, stirring continuously.
  • Once the mixture coats the back of a metal spoon, remove it from heat, and stir while allowing it to cool slightly. Mix in the butter and vanilla until smooth.
  • Arrange slices of ripe bananas and crispy vanilla wafers in a dish, alternating with velvety pudding. Refrigerate for a minimum of 1 hour before enjoying.
