Crispy mozzarella sticks wrapped in egg roll wrappers for a satisfying crunch.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1.5 cups Italian seasoned bread crumbs
  • 10 egg roll wrappers
  • 10 mozzarella string cheese sticks
  • 1 quart vegetable oil for frying
Instructions:
  • Combine eggs in a mixing bowl and vigorously whisk in milk before setting aside.
  • Add bread crumbs to a resealable plastic bag and keep aside.
  • Place an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface with a tip facing you. Moisten the far edges with water. Put a string cheese stick near you and roll it in 1/3 of the way. Fold the right and left corners, then continue rolling to seal. Repeat with the rest of the cheese sticks and wrappers.
  • Preheat oil in a deep fryer or large saucepan to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) until hot.
  • Coat mozzarella sticks in the egg mixture, then cover with bread crumbs for a crispy finish.
  • Fry batches of breaded mozzarella sticks in hot oil until they are crispy and golden brown, for about 3 to 4 minutes.
