Honey and mustard glazed ham

Elevate spirits with festive sweet & spicy ham.
Ingredients:
  • 4 kg whole smoked shoulder ham
  • 1 orange, thinly sliced, to decorate
  • Whole cloves, to decorate
  • 265g (2/3 cup) honey, well chilled
  • 23.40 gm Hot English Mustard
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
Instructions:
  • Take the ham out of the fridge and let it sit at room temperature for a few hours before cooking.
  • Preheat your oven to 200°C for a perfect bake.
  • Peel the skin off the ham, gently remove the fat, score the meat in a diamond pattern, place orange slices on the ham, secure with cloves, and decorate by studding the ham with more cloves.
  • Prepare the glaze by mixing honey, Keen's Hot English Mustard, soy sauce, and ground cloves in a bowl. Brush the glaze onto the ham and orange slices.
  • Place the ham in a large roasting pan and roast in a preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, brushing with the glaze and pan juices every 10 minutes until golden and warmed through. Transfer the cooked ham to a serving platter, pour any pan juices into a jug, and serve sliced ham drizzled with the pan juices.
