Whip up some delicious sweet and spicy moose meatballs for a unique and flavorful party appetizer using your leftover ground moose.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup honey
  • 0.25 cup minced garlic
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 1.5 teaspoons chili powder
  • 3 pounds ground moose
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Combine honey, garlic, and soy sauce in a small saucepan. Mix in onion, garlic, and chili powders. Simmer over medium-high heat until it gently simmers for 15 minutes on medium-low heat.
  • Roll the ground moose into 2 tablespoon-sized balls while the sauce simmers, continuing until all the meatballs are formed.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown and cook meatballs in batches for 10 to 15 minutes each until well cooked. Drain excess oil before serving.
  • Place the drained meatballs in a large baking dish and generously coat them by stirring in the sauce until they are fully coated.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes until the meatballs soak up the sauce and reach an internal temperature of 160 degrees F (70 degrees C when checked with an instant-read thermometer in the center.
