Try tangy honey ginger chicken drumsticks with spicy Asian greens for a flavor-packed meal.
Ingredients:
  • 8 (about 1.2kg) chicken drumsticks
  • 80ml soy sauce
  • 80ml honey
  • 20.00 ml ginger, finely grated
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 bunch baby choy sum, halved
  • 1 bunch baby pak choy, cut lengthways
  • 1 long red chilli, seeded, thinly sliced
  • Toasted sesame seeds, to serve
  • Steamed jasmine rice, to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 180C. Make 2 slashes on each side of the drumsticks and place them in a glass or ceramic bowl. In a jug, mix together the soy sauce, honey, ginger, and garlic. Pour this mixture over the chicken, ensuring it is coated well. Let it sit for 20 minutes to enhance the flavors.
  • Place the chicken mixture onto a baking tray and bake for 30 minutes, rotating occasionally, until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce becomes thick and sticky.
  • Heat sesame oil in a hot wok. Quickly stir-fry choy sum, pak choy, and chili until greens just wilt.
  • Transfer the cooked chicken to a serving plate and generously sprinkle with aromatic sesame seeds. Accompany with the vibrant stir-fried Asian greens and fragrant steamed jasmine rice.
