Honey and sesame glazed chicken drumsticks

Indulge in succulent honey ginger soy glazed chicken drumsticks, perfect with rice and Asian greens for a delightful meal or special occasion feast.
Ingredients:
  • 8 (about 1.2kg) chicken drumsticks
  • 60ml honey
  • 60ml soy sauce
  • 20.00 ml finely grated ginger
  • 6.00 gm sesame seeds
  • Stir-fried Asian greens, to serve
  • Steamed jasmine rice, to serve
Instructions:
  • Make 2 cuts, each about 3 cm long and 1 cm deep, in the thickest part of each chicken drumstick using a small sharp knife.
  • In a large glass or ceramic bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, ginger, and sesame seeds. Add the chicken and toss until coated in the sauce. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour to marinate.
  • Preheat your oven to 200C. Line an oven tray with baking paper. Place marinated drumsticks on the tray and bake in the preheated oven, turning occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through, about 30 minutes.
  • Arrange the chicken on individual serving plates. Accompany with stir-fried Asian greens and steamed rice, if preferred.
