Oat and cinnamon snack bar with a buttery, brown sugar twist.
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 cups packed light brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter or margarine
  • 2 cups Honey Nut Cheerios™ cereal
  • 2 cups quick-cooking or old-fashioned oats
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. In a 2-quart saucepan, melt brown sugar and butter over medium heat, stirring constantly until smooth. Remove from heat.
  • Blend in the rest of the ingredients. Transfer the mixture into a 13x9-inch ungreased pan. Use a rubber spatula to evenly spread the mixture in the pan.
  • Bake for 16 to 18 minutes until the edges are golden brown and firm. Transfer to a cooling rack and let cool completely for about 45 minutes.
  • Using a table knife, divide the baked mixture into 36 bars by cutting it into 6 rows by 6 rows. Store the bars in a loosely covered container.
