Delicious and convenient one-tray Asian meal perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients:
  • 1kg Chicken Drumsticks
  • ½ cup honey
  • ½ cup kecap manis
  • 48.80 gm oyster sauce
  • 42.00 gm soy sauce
  • 40.00 ml sesame oil
  • 2 clove garlic, crushed
  • 48.00 gm sesame seeds, lightly toasted
  • 1 ½ cups medium grain rice
  • 400mL coconut cream
  • 1 ½ cups water
  • 2.40 gm salt
  • Steamed greens to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
  • Prepare the marinade by combining honey, kecap manis, oyster sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, and garlic in a bowl. Mix well. Add the chicken legs, coat them evenly, cover, and let them marinate for 15 minutes.
  • Place chicken and marinade in a roasting tin, roast for 45 minutes, turning every 15 minutes. Sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
  • In a large saucepan, combine all the ingredients and bring to a gentle boil while stirring occasionally. Lower the heat, cover, and let it simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let it stand, covered, for another 10 minutes.
  • Plate the chicken alongside fragrant coconut rice and vibrant steamed greens.
