Create a zesty and exotic Middle Eastern spiced orange dish for a unique fruit platter.
Ingredients:
  • 4 oranges, peeled, white pith removed
  • 125ml (1/2 cup) honey
  • 60ml (1/4 cup) fresh lemon juice
  • 6 cardamom pods, lightly crushed
  • 6 whole cloves
  • 2 x 7cm cinnamon sticks
  • Greek-style natural yoghurt, to serve
Instructions:
  • Thinly slice the oranges using a small sharp knife, making sure to save any juice that comes out.
  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, lemon juice, cardamom, cloves, and cinnamon. Simmer for 2 minutes until slightly thickened. Remove from heat.
  • Combine the orange slices and any leftover orange juice with the honey mixture. Transfer to a bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Chill in the fridge for 1 hour.
  • Spoon the orange mixture into individual bowls and serve with a dollop of yogurt.
