Honey-Walnut Pound Cakes

Bake two delicious loaf cakes using a simple and efficient pound cake recipe.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ Butter Recipe Yellow Cake Mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/3 cup butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup from 1 tub (12 oz) Betty Crocker™ Whipped Butter Cream Frosting
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pans) and lightly grease the bottoms of two 8x4-inch or two 9x5-inch loaf pans.
  • In a large bowl, mix cake ingredients on low speed for 30 seconds, then increase to medium speed for 2 minutes, scraping the sides occasionally. Transfer the batter into pans.
  • Bake 8-inch loaves for 37-45 minutes or 9-inch loaves for 34-42 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let them cool for 10 minutes, then remove from pans. Cool completely for about 1 hour.
  • Microwave the loaves uncovered on Medium (50%) for 15 seconds in a microwavable bowl. Spread frosting over the tops of the loaves, letting it cascade down the sides. Store with a loose covering.
