Create honeycomb brittle with just golden syrup, sugar, and baking soda for a simple and delicious British treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 0.25 cup golden syrup
  • 1 tablespoon baking soda
Instructions:
  • Prepare the 8-inch square cake pan by greasing it. Fill a bowl with cold water.
  • In a large saucepan over medium heat, simmer sugar and golden syrup until a small amount dropped into water turns brittle, about 10-15 minutes.
  • Once off the heat, add baking soda with care. Stir swiftly until foam disappears and mixture becomes golden. Pour into cake pan. Let it cool until firm, approximately 15 minutes. Break into small bites for serving.
