Tangy apple cider and savory soy create a flavorful Asian sesame dressing with garlic and spicy red pepper.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 0.5 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic, smashed
  • 0.5 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Instructions:
  • Combine sugar and apple cider vinegar in a small saucepan. Cook over medium-low heat until sugar dissolves, making sure to include all sugar granules by scraping the sides of the pan, for 3 to 5 minutes. Remove from heat and cool for 2 to 3 minutes before using.
  • In a food processor, blend vinegar mixture, olive oil, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and red pepper flakes until garlic and red pepper flakes are finely minced, about 1 to 2 minutes. Then strain through a fine-mesh sieve.
